Ulysses Grant was one of the worst presidents that he U.S.A has ever had. He was a failure at everything he did. The only things he was ever succesful at was his marriage and being a war general.  He was a very important general in the civil war. He was the head Union general. He was also a very good tactician. Which meant he was very good at moving his troops.

Jefferson Davis  was the Confederate president of the United States of America. He wasnt very good though.  He didnt want to be the president. He wanted to be a general but he wasn't allowed. So since he wanted to have some power he chose to be president.  He had moderate political views so he was well liked. He was also used though. He was a big pushover and thats one of the main reasons people liked him. They knew they could make him do whatever they wanted.
